From April to June, attackers managed to carry out 458.7 thousand fraudulent transactions, which is 7.5% less than in the first quarter. The total amount of losses suffered by bank clients slightly decreased and amounted to less than 7.4 billion rubles. At the same time, a high intensity of attacks on legal entities persisted, due to which the share of stolen funds from them in the total amount of losses increased to 11.3% compared to 7.8% in the previous quarter.
In the second quarter, the share of funds that banks reimbursed to clients affected by fraud increased to 7% (514.6 million rubles).
During this period, the Bank of Russia initiated the blocking of 4.6 thousand fraudulent websites and social media pages, and also sent information to telecom operators about 7.8 thousand phone numbers used by criminals.
