The festival dedicated to responsible pet ownership will take place on August 8 from 11:00 to 21:00 at Gilyarovsky Center (site Museum of Moscow), subordinate to the capital’s To the Department of Culture. The event is organized as part of the program for the exhibition “Dog for Happiness”.
The festival continues the tradition of love for dogs, close to the journalist and writer Vladimir Gilyarovsky. At the event, experts — cynologists from the “Happy Dogs Club,” specialists from the “NewVetTech” veterinary clinic, groomers, and others — will explain how to prepare for the arrival of a dog in the home and learn to understand the pet.
The program includes lectures, master classes, and meetings with specialists. Guests will learn how to choose dog, including from shelter, and build a trusting relationship with her, will figure out pet body language, will study them gastrosymptoms and get acquainted with the concept of five freedoms — the main principle of responsible treatment of animals. Experts will also explain how Moscow’s shelters, and will present veterinary checklist for future owners.
Workshops will teach stunt teams, relaxing exercises for dogs and nail clipping rules. Throughout the day, there will be permanent zones — where you can explore book collections, take quizzes about pet health and behavior, learn treat recipes, relax with your dog, and paint its portrait. As part of the festival, a charity fundraiser for Moscow shelters will be organized.
Participation in events is by pre-registration in “Mosbilet.”
