Dear employees and veterans of railway transport, congratulations on Railway Workers’ Day!
This holiday unites people whose work has special significance for our country. Railways have always been and remain the backbone of Russia’s transport framework. They connect regions, ensure the stable operation of the economy, industry, and social sphere, and create opportunities for the development of cities and territories.
The rhythmic operation of the railways is based on the work of thousands of professionals: drivers, track workers, car attendants, dispatchers, engineers, builders, conductors, station employees, repair and service personnel. Safety of movement, reliability of transportation, passenger comfort, and the fulfillment of the most important state tasks depend on your responsibility, discipline, and coordination.
Special gratitude goes to the industry veterans. You have established strong professional traditions, passed on to new generations a respect for the work, responsibility for the outcome, and a sense of service to the country.
Today, railway transport addresses large-scale challenges. The project of the first high-speed rail line Moscow – Saint Petersburg is being implemented, the development of the Eastern polygon continues, and the efficiency of international transport corridors is increasing. All this is work for the future, to strengthen the country’s connectivity, develop the economy, and improve people’s quality of life.
I thank all railway workers for their professionalism, endurance, and dedication to their work.
