Beijing, August 2 /Xinhua/ — The State Committee for Disaster Prevention, Mitigation, and Assistance to Victims of the PRC has decided to oversee the investigation into the causes of the sudden flooding caused by short heavy rains in Gansu Province (Northwest China).
On July 26 in the afternoon, flooding occurred in a picturesque area of Weiyuan County in the city of Dingxi, resulting in 25 deaths and 23 injuries.
