Washington, August 1 /Xinhua/ — A delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs headed by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) held talks with the U.S.-China Business Council (USCBC) and its member companies on Friday in Washington, D.C.
Representatives of Chinese and American companies from various industries participated in the event, actively communicating and exchanging views.
CCPIT Chairman Ren Hongbin said that the important consensus reached by the heads of the two states during their meeting in Beijing has become strategic guidance for practical cooperation between companies of the two countries.
Noting that USCBC is an important partner organization of CCPIT in the United States, Ren Hongbin said that both sides are linked by both long-standing friendly relations and practical cooperation at the current stage.
According to him, the USCBC actively used its influence and played an important linking role in expanding Sino-American economic and trade cooperation, strengthening humanitarian exchanges, and deepening mutual understanding.
Looking ahead, CCPIT is ready to cooperate with USCBC in creating higher-quality platforms for dialogue between government and business, economic and trade exchanges, to help create a favorable investment environment, deepen multilateral cooperation, continue to serve as an example of China-U.S. friendship, promote mutually beneficial China-U.S. cooperation, and safeguard the stability and smooth operation of global industrial chains and supply chains, so as to jointly advance cooperation between the business communities of China and the United States, said Ren Hongbin.
At the event, representatives of the US business community noted that the American business community has always advocated for strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the US and China.
