Hohhot, July 31 /Xinhua/ — Early on Friday morning in the city of Ulanqab in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (Northern China), a collapse occurred in a tunnel under construction, resulting in 4 people dead and 6 others injured, local authorities reported.
The incident occurred around 3:50 a.m. at the construction site of a tunnel being built by China Railway 15th Bureau Group Co., Ltd. in Zhuozi County, Ulanqab city.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing. Medical assistance is currently being provided to the victims and an investigation into the circumstances of the incident is underway. -0-
