Moscow, July 31 /Xinhua/ — The Russian government will allocate more than 250 billion rubles /3.1 billion dollars/ this year for the aviation industry development program. This was stated on Thursday by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting on aircraft manufacturing.
According to the press service of the Russian government, these funds will primarily go towards increasing advance payments to secure the delivery of more than 70 aircraft, as well as completing the preparation of the capacities of main manufacturers and cooperating enterprises.
According to M. Mishustin, funds will also be allocated to finance the delivery of over 70 Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters for the needs of regional airlines. Currently, an investment project is being prepared to finance the delivery of Il-114-300 aircraft for air transportation in the Far Eastern Federal District and LMS-901 “Baikal” aircraft.
