Yerevan, July 30 /Xinhua/ — A hyper-immersive exhibition using virtual reality technologies, “The Liangzhu Era: The World of Ritual Order,” dedicated to the culture of the same name that existed nearly 5,000 years ago, opened on Thursday in Yerevan. This was reported by the Union of Artists of Armenia.
Various exhibits from the Zhejiang Province Museum (East China) are displayed in one of the union’s exhibition halls, including samples of jade culture and ancient crafts. You can also explore the history, culture, and ritual traditions of Liangzhu through virtual reality—using interactive digital technologies.
The Chairman of the Union of Artists of Armenia, Suren Safaryan, stated in a conversation with journalists that the exhibits presented at the exhibition are not originals, as the transportation of museum valuables is restricted. These are copies made by the Chinese museum itself.
S. Safaryan emphasized the importance of implementing such international projects, noting in particular their role in strengthening Armenian-Chinese cultural ties. He reported that the union he leads and the public organization “Armenian-Chinese Partnership Center” recently signed a memorandum on the development of cultural cooperation.
