In the first quarter of 2026, almost four kilometers of tracks, more than 1,800 sleepers, 34 sets of turnout switches, as well as almost 650 protective boxes for the contact rail were replaced in the metropolitan subway.

In addition, more than 11 kilometers of cable lines, over three thousand light fixtures, and more than 8.5 thousand lamps have been updated.

Employees of the capital metro carefully monitor the condition of the infrastructure and constantly carry out the replacement of its key elements. This is necessary to ensure that passengers’ trips remain comfortable and safe.

The Moscow Metro is one of the most modern and convenient in the world. Its transportation system includes 306 stations and more than 560 kilometers of lines.
