Beijing, July 30 /Xinhua/ — On Thursday, China criticized the decision of the United States Federal Communications Commission /FCC/ to include imported power inverters and advanced robotic devices in its “Covered List,” noting that this move discriminates against and suppresses Chinese companies and their products.
Inclusion in this list will not allow the corresponding new products to obtain FCC approval and enter the American market.
The official representative of the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC stated that the American side must immediately cancel these measures and stop its erroneous actions.
The representative noted that the FCC, despite multiple representations from China and its restrained stance, continues to impose and tighten restrictive measures, which cause serious harm to China’s legitimate trade interests, undermine the stability of China-US trade and economic relations, and disrupt the resilience of global production and supply chains.
The United States has excessively expanded the concept of national security and is using administrative measures to interfere in normal commercial transactions and trade activities, ignoring urgent appeals from industrial circles in both countries, an official representative emphasized.
The pursuit of “breaking ties and disrupting supply chains” is a typical example of market mechanism distortion and unilateral bullying, noted the official representative.
