Specialistsurban economy complexMore than 700 underground and aboveground pedestrian crossings will be cleaned after the winter. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement.Petr Biryukov.

“Events are planned for the cleaning of 730 underground and glazed aboveground pedestrian crossings. Each structure will be thoroughly cleaned using a certain technology, with specialists involved as needed,” noted Petr Biryukov.

During work, passages will not be closed: fences will be installed on site, leaving passageways for pedestrians. The underground passages will be manually cleaned, then washed using high-pressure machines and brushes for walls, granite parapets, and staircases. If necessary, painting and repair of individual structural elements will be carried out.

Above-ground passages will be cleaned using aerial work platforms. A cleaning agent will be applied to the glazed structures from the outside, which will then be washed off with water using professional high-pressure equipment.

As part of the spring cleaning, large-scale work is already underway to flush engineering structures. In total, more than two thousand objects will be brought into order — these include bridges, tunnels, underground and aboveground pedestrian crossings, embankments, piers, fountains, and monuments.
