The team of the Trade Union organization of PJSC “KAMAZ” took first place at the III All-Russian Trade Union Tourist Rally “Because We Are Together.” The competition was held from July 23 to 26 at the “Utulik” recreation center in the Irkutsk region.
More than 160 athletes from 14 teams representing 17 regions of Russia participated in the tourism rally. The participants had to complete a tourist obstacle course, sports orienteering, a water stage, a cross-country hike, and a creative team presentation. The KAMAZ team included representatives from the Deputy General Director – Development Director Block – team captain, design engineer Ilnaz Gazizov, chief specialists Dmitry Svinyakov and Evgeny Verkin, process engineer Liliya Nenasheva, design engineer Anastasia Belyaeva, as well as the foundry plant master Roman Paikiev. For the KAMAZ team members, the most challenging were the control-tourist route and the secret stage, the conditions of which were revealed by the organizers only at the start. Nevertheless, the team was able to quickly adapt to the unexpected tasks.
“The lack of information and a clear plan initially frightened us. However, we demonstrated that we can act not only according to instructions but also according to the situation. As a result, the secret stage was completed excellently and with minimal time expenditures. First place is confirmation that our team is ready for any surprises.», – she commented process engineer Liliya Nenashyeva, also noting the high level of competition and the increase in the skill level of the rival teams over the three years of participating in the event. According to her, worthy competition was presented by teams from Buryatia, Irkutsk, and Angarsk.
The athletes also remembered the water stage with a catamaran on a mountain river. Foundry Plant Master Roman Paikiev stated that the trial required great endurance: participants had to flip the catamaran and fight against a strong current. “The tourism rally left the warmest impressions! The place was picturesque – surrounded by mountains, forests, and a mountain river, the air was clean. The organizers created a great atmosphere: everyone was involved, the judges worked efficiently. We received a powerful boost of energy, met interesting people, and had a wonderful time.”, – he shared.
For the Kamaz team, this victory was the result of three years of participation in the tourism rally. Initially, Kamaz team members competed as part of the trade union team of ASM RF. The following year, they competed independently and took third place. In 2026, the team of the Trade Union Organization of PJSC “KAMAZ” climbed to the top step of the podium.
