Beijing, July 27 /Xinhua/ — Shares of the Chinese memory chip manufacturer Changxin Memory Technologies /CXMT/ surged by 531.06%, closing the morning session at 54.65 yuan (about 8.05 USD) per share on the STAR Market platform of the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The turnover of the company, one of the world’s largest producers of dynamic random-access memory (DRAM), amounted to 122.1 billion yuan in the morning session.
The company became the largest registered company by market capitalization in the category A stock market: at the opening of trading, its shares soared by 471.6%, and the market capitalization exceeded 3.3 trillion yuan.
It is expected that in the first half of this year CXMT’s operating revenue will range from 110 to 120 billion yuan, and the net profit attributable to the parent company’s shareholders will reach 50-57 billion yuan, the company stated.
