Lima, July 25 /Xinhua/ — At least five people died on Saturday as a result of a collision between two passenger cars and a small truck in the Tacna district in southern Peru. This was reported by local media.
The accident occurred at approximately 05:30 local time. Police sources reported that the accident may have happened after the bus attempted to overtake a truck, drove into the oncoming lane, and collided with another passenger vehicle.
According to the private radio and television company Radio Programas del Peru, at least 15 injured were taken to the nearest hospital.
