Sansha, July 25 /Xinhua/ — 29 people have been rescued, and 33 are awaiting rescue after a Vietnamese fishing vessel was wrecked on Saturday near the Yongsu Reef of the Chinese Nansha Archipelago in the South China Sea. This was reported by the Sansha Maritime Search and Rescue Center.
The vessel “Knoi Nguyen 18,” carrying 62 people on board, encountered an emergency situation in the waters near the reef on Saturday evening.
As of 18:54 on Saturday, the rescue vessel “Nanhai Jiu 115” of the South China Sea Rescue Administration under the Ministry of Transport of China pulled 29 people from the water.
