The United Nations and its humanitarian partners continue to provide assistance to the people of Ukraine affected by the ongoing hostilities. On Friday, a convoy delivered essential supplies to one of the frontline communities in the Kherson region.
Delivery of aid
According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the aid included six tons of humanitarian cargo, including medicines, emergency kits for women, clothing, and hygiene kits.

Death and injuries of civilians
Meanwhile, the situation of the country’s civilian population continues to deteriorate. Over the past 24 hours, several civilians have died as a result of attacks and hostilities in various regions of Ukraine, and more than 100 people have been injured. Significant damage has been inflicted on civilian infrastructure.
The greatest impact was felt in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions, where, according to available data, the number of affected civilians exceeded 60 people. Numerous residential buildings and a medical center were damaged. Humanitarian organizations are providing psychological assistance to those affected, supplying materials for emergency housing repairs, and offering other urgent support.
Funding shortfall
Despite the ongoing funding shortage, last year the Ukrainian Humanitarian Fund was able to allocate over 200 million dollars to support Ukrainians. Aid was received by about 660 thousand people across the country, including residents of frontline areas who needed urgent evacuation. Approximately 70 percent of the fund’s money was directed to Ukrainian humanitarian organizations.
