Manila, July 24 /Xinhua/ — China is ready to fully and effectively implement the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea together with ASEAN members and to work towards the early conclusion of the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea to jointly maintain peace and stability in the region. This was stated by the Chinese delegation, refuting Japan’s false rhetoric regarding the South China Sea at the meetings of foreign ministers within the framework of the East Asia Summit and the ASEAN Regional Forum held in the Philippine capital, Manila.

The less external forces sow discord and fan the flames, the more confidence and opportunities the countries of the region will have to ensure peace and stability in this region, added the Chinese delegation. –0–
