Tbilisi, July 23 /Xinhua/ — A new exhibition titled “From the Yellow River to the Caucasus: Bronze Treasures of Shanxi Province, China” has opened recently at the National Museum of Georgia.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia Grigol Tsertsvadze noted that the exhibition gives Georgian visitors a chance to become acquainted with a crucial component of the world’s cultural heritage — the bronze civilization of China.
“Such projects contribute to strengthening cooperation and friendship between Georgia and China, as well as deepening cultural dialogue between our countries,” he said.
The exhibition is jointly organized by the National Museum of Georgia and the Shanxi Museum. 36 ancient bronze artifacts from Shanxi Province (Northern China) are being exhibited abroad for the first time. The event will run until October 18. –0–
