Beijing, July 23 /Xinhua/ — In the first half of 2026, nearly 4,800 enterprises with foreign investment made additional investments in China, demonstrating the unwavering confidence of foreign investors in the Chinese market, said Yan Dong, Vice Minister of Commerce of the PRC, on Thursday.

The number of new enterprises established in the country with foreign capital participation from January to June increased by 5.3 percent compared to the same period last year, the actual volume of foreign direct investment (FDI) amounted to 402.14 billion yuan (about 59.22 billion U.S. dollars), Yan Dong said at a press conference in Beijing.
