Sofia, July 22 /Xinhua/ — Moldova’s Parliament on Tuesday approved Vasile Tofan as the country’s Prime Minister in a vote of confidence and endorsed the full list of cabinet ministers he presented.
The candidacy of V. Tofan was voted for by 53 deputies, which ensured him a parliamentary majority.
In accordance with the constitution, the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, will officially appoint the new government after the vote has taken place.
44-year-old V. Tofan has worked for a long time in the field of direct private investments and is a well-known investor and entrepreneur in Moldova.
