Young scientists from 12 countries were trained in management approaches at the State University of Management

25 researchers from 12 countries came for an internship at the State University of Management as part of the International “Summer Institute for Teachers and Researchers.”

At the State University of Management, young people will master management approaches to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the track “Sustainable Development Management”.

On July 20, participants of the “Summer Institute,” accompanied by representatives of Tyumen Industrial University Konstantin Shtyk and Svetlana Sityova, were introduced to the university’s infrastructure and given a campus tour.

Olga Kharlamova, Director of the GSOM Scientific Library, demonstrated modern learning spaces, rooms for independent work and group discussions, spoke about the events held at GSOM for students and teachers, and invited the guests to join them in the future.

After that, the delegation was shown an exhibition of the university’s renowned scientists, introduced to scientific dynasties and named lecture halls, told about the history and uniqueness of the campus, and guided to the Center for Information Technologies, where classes will take place.

On July 21, lectures were held in Russian and English for foreign researchers.

The Director of the Center for Sustainable Development Design of Civil Society Institutions, Andrey Golovin, introduced the global scientific schools of sustainable development measurement, approaches, and calculation rules for indicators; Svetlana Grokhotova, advisor to the chairman of the State Fund “Defenders of the Fatherland” and senior lecturer in the Department of Public Administration and Political Technologies at the State University of Management, explained the principles of building effective communications in Russia; and Boris Loginov, associate professor in the Department of World Economy and International Economic Relations, spoke about the “green wave” in the financial sector.

The third season of the International Project “Summer Institute for Teachers and Researchers” is taking place in 2026; over these years, more than 330 young teachers and researchers from various countries around the world have participated. The organizer is the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and this year one of the partners is the State University of Management (GUU).
