In special economic zone The Special Economic Zone (SEZ) “Technopolis Moscow” has launched the cultural and educational project “TechnoVernissage.” On the capital’s main industrial site, contemporary artists will showcase their works. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.

“Today, the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone has developed into a full-fledged urban environment where public and cultural life coexist alongside manufacturing processes. New recreational areas, sports facilities, and spaces are appearing within the special economic zone, where residents of nearby districts can also spend time. For example, a large-scale exhibition, “TechnoVernissage,” recently opened — contemporary artists present their works directly on the industrial cluster’s sites,” said Maxim Liksutov.

The first participants of the “TechnoVernissage” gallery were students from the “Light of Watercolor” studio led by Svetlana Emets, a member of the Union of Artists of the Moscow Region. The “Alabushevo” site features still lifes and landscapes created by both budding and already well-known artists — students of the studio. Later, the exhibition will move to the SEZ “Pechatniki” and “Rudnevo”.

The SEZ “Technopolis Moscow” is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Over these years, the project has grown from a launchpad for innovations into the main hub of domestic industry and a center of attraction for companies defining Russia’s technological sovereignty. Today, more than 240 high-tech enterprises operate across 10 sites with a total area of 430 hectares, in the fields of microelectronics, instrumentation, biomedicine, information technology, and robotics.

Moscow is actively developing social infrastructure in industrial areas. Thanks to city development programs, employees of high-tech enterprises receive not only modern workplaces but also high-quality public spaces for recreation. This contributes to the development of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”.
