Dar es Salaam, July 21 /Xinhua/ — Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan on Monday thanked Chinese companies for their contribution to the country’s national development efforts for the benefit of the people.
She made this statement after holding the groundbreaking ceremony for the sixth section of the standard gauge railway /SGR/, connecting Tabora with Kigoma, in the construction of which Chinese companies are involved.
The project is being implemented by a joint venture of China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC).
S. S. Hassan emphasized the important role that Chinese companies play in the development of Tanzania’s transport and logistics infrastructure.
