Tbilisi, July 20 /Xinhua/ — Exports from Georgia in June 2026 increased by 20.4 percent year-on-year and reached a record volume of 770.8 million US dollars. This was reported on Monday by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Vakhtang Tsintsadze.
According to him, local exports, excluding re-exports, increased by 50.5% year-on-year in June, amounting to 469 million dollars.
As V. Tsintsadze emphasized, the positive dynamics of exports and reaching record figures are due to the attractive business environment in the country, which promotes the development of both local and international companies in the Georgian market.
“This encourages both local and international companies to enter the Georgian market and start or expand production in various sectors. Ultimately, this is reflected in exports, economic growth, employment, and other macroeconomic indicators,” noted the deputy minister.
