Dushanbe, July 20 /Xinhua/ — Tajikistan’s foreign trade turnover for the first six months of 2026 reached 6.82 billion US dollars, an increase of 44.2 percent compared to the same period last year. This was reported on Monday at a press conference by the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
According to the agency, exports of goods increased by 65.4 percent to 1.58 billion dollars, while imports grew by 38.8 percent and amounted to 5.24 billion dollars.
The largest destinations for Tajik exports were Switzerland with a share of 32.2 percent of the total volume, China /26.8 percent/, Turkey /7.7 percent/, Uzbekistan /6.9 percent/, Belgium /4.8 percent/, and Russia /4.6 percent/.
The main suppliers of goods to Tajikistan were China with a share of 25.9 percent of the total import volume, Russia /23.7 percent/, Kazakhstan /13.6 percent/, Switzerland /9.7 percent/, and Uzbekistan /4.4 percent/.
At the end of the first half of the year, Tajikistan recorded a positive external trade balance with the Netherlands, Belgium, Turkey, and Afghanistan. –0–
