Beijing, July 20 /Xinhua/ — The administration of Taiwan’s Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), by using measures to facilitate people-to-people exchanges as a means to pressure relevant countries and openly challenge the one-China principle, has exposed the repugnant nature of separatist activities for “Taiwan independence,” said Chinese Foreign Ministry official spokesman Lin Jian on Monday.
Lin Jian made this statement at another departmental press conference in response to a request to comment on media reports that on July 17, the relevant department of the island’s administration announced the cancellation of the so-called “visa” measures to facilitate people-to-people exchanges for Cambodian citizens, stating that “Cambodia has betrayed Taiwan’s goodwill and supported the One China policy.”
