The first stand-up paddle (SUP) rafting event was held on the Stepnoy Zay River, organized by the Trade Union organization of PJSC KAMAZ. The event took the form of a master class and gathered 50 employees – trade union members from various divisions of the automotive giant.
Before the rafting, all participants underwent safety training and, under the guidance of instructors, mastered the basic techniques of stand-up paddleboarding. Throughout the route, the group remained cohesive, without lagging behind or breaking formation. For those interested, a camp sauna was available on the shore, adding comfort to the event and providing a health benefit.
“Today we took the first step in a new direction, – emphasized the importance of the event Head of the Press Center of the Trade Union Organization of “KAMAZ”, Radik Gabitov. – Our goal is not just to get on the water once, but to lay the foundation for annual competitions. Next year, we plan to hold stand-up paddle rafting as full-fledged races with timed results and awarding the winners.
The rafting showed high interest from employees, team spirit, and excellent physical fitness of the participants. Water sports naturally fit into KAMAZ’s corporate culture.
