Tianjin, July 18 /Xinhua/ — On Friday, a freight train China-Central Asia loaded with cars, bicycles, and other goods departed from the Tianjin Container Center station in the metropolis of Tianjin /Northern China/. It will cross the state border through the Khorgos checkpoint and continue its journey to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and other Central Asian countries.
This service marked an increase in the number of regular freight trains on the Tianjin-Central Asia route via the Khorgos checkpoint, from 1 train composition to two per week. At the same time, trains operate on a firm schedule with fixed departure and destination points, route, train numbers, departure and arrival times, and a through tariff.
Let us recall that in October 2025, the railway route Tianjin-Central Asia via Khorgos was officially launched in regular operation, functioning under the “five fixed parameters” scheme.
Train compositions on this route cross the state border through the Khorgos checkpoint and will arrive in Central Asia in approximately 10 days.
Since the official launch of the aforementioned railway route, a total of 72 freight trains China-Central Asia have been dispatched, transporting 7,896 standard containers /TEU/ of various types of goods, which has become an important incentive for ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of the dual circulation of the economy – domestic and international. -0-
