Systemic support for regional industrial development funds remains one of the Government’s priority tasks. An additional 100 million rubles will be allocated for the recapitalization of such a fund in the Tambov region. The order regarding this has been signed.

Funding from the Cabinet’s reserve fund will enable the implementation of two projects. One of them is the production of electric motors, generators, transformers, as well as electrical distribution and measuring control equipment at JSC “Michurinsky Plant ‘Progress’.” Another project involves the modernization and updating of machinery in the workshops of JSC “Tambov Plant ‘Komsomolets’ named after N.S. Artemov.”

Commenting on the decision made at at the Government meeting on July 16, Mikhail Mishustin noted that over the past two years, within the framework of the state program ‘Development of Industry and Increasing its Competitiveness,’ 250 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget to establish the production of in-demand products in the Tambov region.

According to the Chairman of the Government, recapitalization of regional industrial funds is not the only tool for supporting enterprises in the real sector of the economy. Currently, Russia has preferential lending programs in place, including industrial mortgages, several options for special investment contracts that provide special conditions for significant projects, as well as agreements on the protection and promotion of investments, which imply compensation of part of the costs—in the form of a tax deduction or subsidy.

“All these mechanisms help accelerate the implementation and scaling of important developments, reducing investors’ risks at the initial stages,” emphasized Mikhail Mishustin.
