Russian approaches to the formation of a healthy longevity system received high praise from foreign experts at the II Forum “Russia and the World: Trends of Healthy Longevity,” which took place in Moscow. The forum was attended by 2,500 people from 12 countries.

One of the key topics of the forum was the Russian model of healthy longevity, based on an integrated approach combining healthcare, science, modern technologies, artificial intelligence, culture, education, regional programs, and public initiatives. According to foreign participants, it is this systematic approach that today becomes one of the most promising directions for the development of state policy in the field of longevity.

“We highly appreciate that leading foreign experts have come to this forum. Today, the issues of healthy longevity know no borders — this is a global challenge, the response to which requires the unification of efforts from the entire world community. It is very important that our foreign colleagues not only studied Russian practices with great interest but also actively shared their unique experience within the discussions. I am confident that precisely such open meetings lay a solid foundation for long-term cooperation and joint scientific discoveries for the sake of people’s health,” noted Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova.

The programs being implemented in Russia for the prevention of age-associated diseases, the introduction of biological age assessment technologies, the development of healthy longevity medicine, and the scaling of these solutions across the entire country have attracted particular interest from international experts.

According to foreign participants, particular value lies in Russia’s attention to pre-risk medicine programs and the prevention of age-related diseases starting from a young age, as well as the use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in the implementation of national healthy longevity programs.

Claudio Franceschi, Honorary Professor of Immunology at the University of Bologna, noted that such a state program is unique and could serve as an example for other countries.

“I really appreciate that the Government of the Russian Federation pays such serious attention to issues of aging, healthy longevity, and the quality of life of people. I think this can serve as an example for others. When I return home, I will try to talk about this initiative in Italy so that we too can do something similar. I also really liked that you begin to address longevity issues already starting with young people. Because age-associated diseases need to be prevented. This is truly a very advanced approach,” emphasized Professor Claudio Franceschi at the forum. He also specifically noted that he conducts joint scientific activities with Russian colleagues, in particular with experts from the State Scientific Center of the Russian Federation, Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution “Russian Scientific Center of Surgery named after Academician B.V. Petrovsky” of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.

The forum confirmed high international interest in Russian practices and became a platform for exchanging experiences, forming new professional contacts, and discussing joint projects. Participants noted that the solutions presented in Moscow could serve as a basis for developing similar initiatives in other countries.

The forum organizers are the Office of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation. The organizational partners are the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution Russian Scientific Center of Surgery named after Academician B.V. Petrovsky of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.
