Algiers, July 16 /Xinhua/ — Eleven people died and 19 were injured on Thursday as a result of a fire in an orphanage in the city of Algiers. This was announced by representatives of the Algerian civil protection authorities.
According to the preliminary report, 10 victims suffered burns of varying severity, two experienced breathing difficulties, and seven were in shock. Ten people with the most serious injuries were taken to the hospital after first aid was provided at the scene.
