Vice-Rector of GUE Mariya Karelina and Director of the Center for Management of Engineering Projects at GUE Vladimir Filatov joined the updated composition of the Expert Council under the Committee of the Federation Council on Science, Education, and Culture.
Maria Karelina joined the section “Higher Education and Training of Highly Qualified Personnel,” and Vladimir Filatov joined the section “Science and Technology.” Work is being carried out across seven thematic areas in total.
Let us recall that the Expert Council plays an important role in the legislative and analytical activities of the Committee: it forms expert positions on key issues of science, education, and culture development, discusses draft regulatory acts, and develops recommendations for the relevant departments.
Meetings of the Expert Council are held under the chairmanship of the Committee Chair, Senator Liliya Gumerova, with the participation of the heads of the apparatus of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture.
The inclusion of representatives from GUU in the Council underscores the high level of their expertise and the significance of the university’s role in shaping the state agenda in the field of education and science.
