Beijing, July 15 /Xinhua/ — An official representative of mainland China confirmed on Wednesday that a youth delegation from the Taiwan People’s Party is visiting Shanghai from Tuesday to Friday.
The official representative of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council of the PRC, Zhu Fenglian, at the regular press briefing reported that during the four-day visit the delegation will visit the Yangshan port, a major global shipping center, the hotline service center for residents “12345,” through which citizens can make suggestions and express concerns about city management, as well as the Shanghai museum dedicated to the battle for the “Sihan” warehouse and commemorating those who fought in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
According to her, the delegation will also hold a discussion and communicate with young teachers and students of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Welcoming the delegation, Zhu Fenglian invited more residents of Taiwan, especially the youth, to visit the mainland.
