A training seminar on the project will explain how to protect children from them.“Call back yourself”. At the meeting titled “Children as a Tool for Fraudsters. How to Protect Family Data and Finances,” experts will give adults advice on how to properly build a dialogue with a child about digital security. Representatives of the capital city will participate in the seminarDepartment of Information Technologies, Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Moscow, as well as the Center for Legal Assistance to Citizens in the Digital Environment and the Psychological Service.

“Modern children live in a digital era where entertainment and education are increasingly presented in an online format. However, alongside technological progress, the number of cyber threats is also increasing: personal data leaks, access to undesirable websites, and infection of devices with malicious software. At a new seminar, specialists from the ‘Callback Yourself’ project will explain in an accessible interactive form how attackers build communication and gain a child’s trust, and will also teach how to correctly talk to a child about digital safety without pressure or intimidation.”—Valentina Shilina, the head of the “Call Me Back” project of the capital’s Department of Information Technologies, told.
How it is noted in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Moscow, a dangerous trend is emerging today: fraudsters are increasingly using children not only to extort money but also to involve them in serious crimes. In 2025 alone, 37 crimes under Article 159 ‘Fraud’ of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation were registered, committed by minors. All of them fell under the remote influence of criminals.At the seminar, project experts will tell parents how to build a dialogue with their child and establish trust so that in a difficult situation the child turns to them for help specifically, instead of becoming withdrawn and hiding the problem.
The seminar will also address the widespread phenomenon of fraud through social networks, messengers, and gaming chats, the purpose of which…A —Children of different ages. Experts of the project “Call Yourself” pay special attention to prevention issues: they will explain which technical protection measures to use and what to do if a child has already fallen victim to scammers.
The informational online project “Call Back Yourself” was created in 2022 by the Government of Moscow jointly with the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Moscow. It helps residents of the capital protect themselves and their loved ones from telephone and internet fraud. The project website contains information about upcoming in-person and online events, as well as available memos and expert recommendations, records of already heldwebinarsand other useful materials. The main components of the “Perezhvon sam” project are simple and clear expert advice, relevant stories, and a convenient format. At the events, real stories from victims are analyzed, attention is drawn to the methods of fraudsters, and it is also explained how to behave correctly in such a situation.
In 2023, the project “Perezhvon SAM” won in the nomination “Best Social Project Website” of the “Golden Site” award. In addition, it received the Runet Award in the nomination “Information Security.” In 2025, the project was awarded at the international competition of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “Pen and Shield” and at the IV All-Russian competition “Regional Information Security Cup.”
