Beijing, July 15 /Xinhua/ — From January to June 2026, the volume of investment in fixed assets in China fell by 5.7 percent year on year, according to official data released on Wednesday.

The total investment volume amounted to nearly 22.64 trillion yuan / approximately 3.33 trillion US dollars, according to a statement from the National Bureau of Statistics / NBS / of China.

With the exception of the real estate sector, investments in fixed assets decreased by 2.7 percent over 6 months.

At the same time, investments in intellectual property assets increased by 9.4% year-on-year, which is 1.5 percentage points higher than the figure for the first quarter of this year.

Investments in infrastructure have decreased by 2.4 percent compared to the same period last year, and in manufacturing – by 1.2 percent, according to official data.
