The resumption of large-scale hostilities between the US and Iran has dealt a serious blow to the civilian population of the Middle East and undermines efforts to achieve peace. This was stated by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk, who called on the parties to immediately return to compliance with the ceasefire regime.
