Nassau, July 11 /Xinhua/ — On Friday, a small airplane from Flamingo Air crashed on North Andros Island, west of the capital of the Bahamas, Nassau, resulting in the deaths of all 10 people on board.
At the press conference, Police Commissioner Shanta Knowles stated that there were nine passengers and one pilot on board the plane. Rescuers found one person showing signs of life at the crash site, but he later died.
The commissioner added that police investigators were sent to Andros Island and began investigating the circumstances of the incident.
