Washington, July 10 /Xinhua/ — US President Donald Trump on Friday denied recent reports that Israel had warned Washington of an alleged Iranian plot to assassinate him.
“Israel has not reported anything,” said D. Trump in an interview with the New York Post.
However, the president noted that he “left instructions” in case Iran manages to orchestrate a plot against him.
“I have long been the number one target /on the Iranian kill list/, but such is life, you know,” Trump said. “I gave instructions: if something happens to me, just bomb them like never before.”
Earlier on Friday, D. Trump stated that Washington will continue negotiations with Tehran after his administration notified Iran of the end of the ceasefire.
