Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak made a working trip to the Tver region.
As part of the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister visited the enterprise “TverKanatDor,” which is a resident of the special economic zone “Emmaus” and the first full-cycle factory in Russia for the production of modern high-speed, high-performance cable transport systems. The company includes its own assembly production, a design and engineering department, software development centers for cable car management and control electronics. Among the completed projects is a chairlift cable car for the Rosa Khutor resort; plans include producing products for the resorts Dombay, Elbrus, Ray-Iz, Krasnaya Polyana, and Arkhyz. In addition, more than 10 cable cars already operating at domestic resorts (Bolshoy Vudyavr, Mamison, Veduchi) have been switched to domestic automated control systems and software.
Alexander Novak held a meeting with the enterprise team and answered the most pressing questions from employees, including the development of the tourism industry in Russia, support measures for enterprises investing in production modernization and automation, the implementation of modern technologies and AI in industry, attracting young specialists to the sector, and stabilizing the situation in the domestic fuel market.
The Deputy Prime Minister took part in the ceremony of launching gas supply to the home of a large family in the village of Krasnaya Nov, carried out under the gasification completion program. The laid gas pipeline to and within the plot, as well as the installed related equipment, will significantly reduce costs for heating rooms and hot water supply, while the family fully covered the gasification expenses through regional social support measures. To date, over 26 thousand gasification completion applications have been submitted by residents of the Tver region, almost all of which have been converted into contracts, 22.5 thousand of which have been fulfilled – networks have been built up to the boundaries of the applicants’ land plots. More than 15.6 thousand households are already using gas.
During a working visit, Alexander Novak visited the Tver Industrial and Economic College, where in 2023 the first educational cluster of the federal project “Professionalism” in the field of “Art and Creative Industry” was established in the region. The Deputy Prime Minister held a meeting with the students of the educational institution in the format of an open dialogue, where participants were able to discuss topics of interest to them, including the development of the creative industries sector, prospects for self-realization for young specialists in this direction, and state support measures for the creative economy.
Also, during the working trip, a meeting took place between Alexander Novak and the acting governor of the Tver region, Vitaly Korolyov.
The parties discussed the development of the Emmaus industrial-production type special economic zone: they considered prospects for further expansion of the site, creating conditions to attract new residents, launching modern productions, and generating additional jobs. It was noted that the development of the SEZ is one of the significant factors in strengthening the industrial potential of the Tver region and increasing its investment attractiveness.
Discussed issues of the region’s socio-economic development, as well as the progress of gasification of settlements and enterprises. Also reviewed were activities implemented in the territory of the Tver region aimed at improving the business climate and creating additional opportunities for sustainable economic growth.
Special attention was paid to the issue of fuel supply in the region – the current situation in the regional market, the availability of petroleum product reserves, the operation of logistics routes, mechanisms to ensure stable supplies, and support measures aimed at maintaining the stable operation of the fuel sector and preventing fuel shortages for consumers and enterprises were discussed.
