Representatives of the medical community from various regions of Russia underwent training at the State University of Management and presented programs for the digital transformation of medical organizations.

The first Training Workshop “Model of Digital Maturity of Healthcare Organizations” has been completed at the State University of Management, which has become a solid foundation for the further development of digital transformation management in healthcare based at our university.

At the in-person final, a competition of digital transformation programs for medical organizations was held, as well as a discussion of practical examples of increasing digital maturity according to the criteria of the MIIS Digital Maturity Model for Healthcare Organizations.

The attendees were greeted by Dmitry Bryukhanov, Vice-Rector of GUU; Viktor Cherepov, Head of the Department of Healthcare Management and Sports Industry; and Anatoly Safonov, Director of the NGO “Center for Expert Programs VOK” and coordinator of EFQM programs in Russia.

Dmitry Bryukhanov emphasized that digitalization is currently one of the most relevant trends in management, including healthcare, and that the choice of GSOM as the venue for the workshop is due to the many years of work by the specialized department under the leadership of Viktor Cherepov — Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor, honored doctor of the Russian Federation, holding several key positions in government bodies and professional industry associations.

In the final, the participants of the program presented to the expert jury the digital transformation projects of medical organizations, which they had been refining during three weeks of training at the Digital Corps base of the State University of Management.

As a result of the competition, first place was taken by the Blood Transfusion Station of the Ministry of Health of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, second place went to the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS and Infectious Diseases, and the L.M. Roshal Children’s Scientific and Clinical Center rounded out the top three.

In addition, the participants discussed practical examples of increasing digital maturity according to the criteria of the Digital Maturity Model for healthcare organizations by the International Institute for Testing and Certification. Special attention was given to the experience of the Moscow Regional Perinatal Center (Balashikha), which became the first organization to undergo certification assessment under this Model, achieving a high third level out of five possible.

The organizers of the first Training Workshop “Digital Maturity Model of Healthcare Organizations” were the State University of Management in collaboration with the Center for Expert Programs of the All-Russian Quality Organization, the L.M. Roshal Children’s Scientific and Clinical Center, the company Dao IT (portal DAO-MED.ru), and the Haensch group of companies.

Taking into account the existing scientific and educational potential in this field at the university, namely the work of the Department of Healthcare and Sports Industry Management and the project-training laboratory for research and development in the field of management digitalization, GUU and its partners will be able to develop new joint programs aimed at enhancing digital maturity, management quality, and sustainable development of medical institutions.
