Beijing, July 8 /Xinhua/ — An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 occurred in Gaoxian County of Yibin City, Sichuan Province, in southwest China on Wednesday at 6:12 a.m. /Beijing time/, reported the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter of the underground tremors was located at coordinates 28.52 degrees north latitude and 104.68 degrees east longitude. The hypocenter was at a depth of 8 km, according to the CENC report. -0-
