Moscow, July 7 /Xinhua/ — The task of redirecting Russia’s trade to friendly countries’ markets has been fundamentally resolved. This was stated on Tuesday by Veronika Nikishina, General Director of the Russian Export Center (REC), during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“The key task — the fastest possible reorientation to the markets of friendly countries — has been fundamentally resolved. We have preserved our exports, and, as you correctly noted, we have achieved a dynamic and sustainable growth. Last year, non-commodity exports increased by 11%, exports of engineering products grew by 28%, and the share of friendly countries accounts for 86% in our structure,” said V. Nikishina.
According to the CEO of REC, Russian companies have nearly restored pre-sanction export volumes. Currently, REC is increasing exports by forming stable partnerships and alliances with friendly countries.
V. Nikishina also noted that the task of ensuring a two-thirds increase in exports by 2030 compared to 2023 is being addressed through targeted financial and non-financial support for specific exporters. –0–
