At the engine plant in the Alabuga SEZ, serial production of 1.5-liter gasoline turbocharged units with a power of 136 hp has started. The new engine is intended to equip Sollers SF1 cars.

The production of the turbofan engine is integrated into the company’s high-tech assembly lines. The project implementation took six months.

Further plans include deepening the localization of the product, including mastering the casting and machining of basic parts.

The four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1499 cm3, featuring multi-point fuel injection and turbocharging, complies with Euro 5 emission standards and is equipped with a timing chain drive. The engine’s power output is 136 hp, with a maximum torque of 175 Nm. The certified fuel is AI-92 gasoline.

The warranty on the unit is 2 years or 200,000 km, which is similar to the warranty terms for the Sollers SF1 vehicle.

A new gasoline turbocharged engine has complemented the lineup of diesel units with capacities of 2.0 and 2.7 liters, the production of which was established at the facility in 2023 with the support of the Industrial Development Fund (IDF).

For reference
The engine plant is located in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone in close proximity to the Sollers automobile production and occupies an area of 42,600 sq.m. The enterprise is equipped with advanced, high-tech equipment that meets all quality and production efficiency requirements, environmental standards, as well as employee health and safety.
