The Far Eastern Federal District is the largest macro-region in the country by area, and its advanced spatial development has been established by the President as one of the strategic national priorities. As part of the effort to upgrade public transportation across Russia, new vehicles are being put into service in the Far Eastern Federal District, increasing the comfort and safety of trips for residents. Thus, since 2020, 677 buses have been delivered to the district, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin reported.
“The Far Eastern Federal District is a strategically important macroregion with vast distances and challenging climatic conditions. Quality public transport here directly affects the connectivity of territories and the quality of life of people. Thus, since 2020, 677 buses have been delivered to the district. The launch of the special treasury credit program gave a significant boost to fleet renewal: thanks to this mechanism, 429 buses have been delivered to the district. Work continues this year. Of the 178 buses planned for the year, 111 have been put into service, and several regions have fully met their delivery plans,” noted Marat Khusnullin.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that the largest number of vehicles in the Far Eastern Federal District in 2026 were received by the Republic of Buryatia (64), Amur Region (35), and Magadan Region (11).
Deliveries are carried out within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”, programs of direct subsidies, concessional leasing by JSC “GTLK”, Far Eastern subsidies, and mechanisms of the Ministry of Finance of Russia.
