On October 12 and 13, entrepreneurial competence training sessions “Create a Startup in Six Steps” were held at the Educational Center for Project-Based Learning of SPbSASU. More than 120 students from all faculties and courses of our university participated, united into 20 teams.
In two days, participants went through the main stages of creating a startup: from idea generation and team formation to developing a minimum viable product (MVP) and presenting the project at a pitch session. Students applied the knowledge gained in practice, developed teamwork and presentation skills, and received feedback from experts.
For two days, teams were assisted by specialists in the field of technological entrepreneurship. Among the mentors are the developer of the federal project “Priority-2030. Far East,” a business coach, and a social entrepreneur Yulia Lenyuk, as well as a business tracker, senior tracker, and organizer of more than 20 acceleration programs Olga Nagaychuk. She also specializes in preparing applications and pitches for the “Student Startup” grant; among those she has prepared are more than 60 contest winners.
Based on their work, the students presented projects for the construction, architectural and social sectors. Among them: “Square Meter” – an AI plugin to speed up the preparation of drawings according to GOST; “4K” – a quality control system for structures using a conductive additive; “NORDA” – an AI platform for controlling construction costs. In addition, the teams developed a robot with an AI assistant, a solution for autonomous navigation in complex university campuses, and the “Tangible” project – tactile models of historical buildings for museums and inclusive programs.
Entrepreneurial skills training is conducted within the framework of the University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform. The platform was launched by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia in 2022 to unleash the entrepreneurial potential of youth and to train professionals in the field of technological entrepreneurship. It is part of the federal project “Technologies” of the national project “Effective and Competitive Economy.”
Trainings will return to SPbGASU in the spring semester!
