RWB and the State University of Management have opened enrollment for the Children’s Business School in a joint free program “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship.”
The program is designed for students in grades 7–11 and college freshmen and sophomores. Through it, students will learn about the history of entrepreneurship, how to start a business “from scratch,” and independently evaluate its effectiveness.
All this knowledge and skills are hidden behind terms like digital marketing, e-commerce, unit economics, and legal aspects of business registration. Separate sections are dedicated to methods of promotion and project presentation, as well as psychology.
Maximum practice
The acquired skills will allow students to apply them in practice – for example, to formulate their own business idea, evaluate its prospects, find partners, and determine the next steps for developing the project.
For those who want to delve deeper, the Project Workshop will be available. In it, students will be able to fully test their project: see the real demand for their product, calculate the economics, and receive feedback from RWB experts.
Based on the results of the Project Workshop, the authors of the 20 best projects will receive special gifts from RWB.
“Entrepreneurial skills today are developed not only through work experience – they can be introduced as early as school. It is important to give young people the opportunity not only to learn how business works but also to try applying this knowledge: to formulate an idea, test its demand, understand the project’s economics, and learn to present their solution. That is why at the Children’s Business School, we focused on practical tools and working on individual ideas together with experts. I hope this project will become a first step towards their own business for some of the participants,” said Wildberries founder and RWB head Tatyana Kim.
“Strong economists, entrepreneurs, and managers do not appear by themselves; ideally, they should be trained from school days. Moreover, the key requirement for their education today is its practical component, i.e., the maximum readiness of graduates to apply their skills immediately after finishing university. Understanding the importance of this work, GUU, together with the business community, is modernizing programs and strengthening the practical focus of education,” said GUU Rector Vladimir Stroev.
Online Accessibility
All school materials are available online, so you can take the course from anywhere in the world. After each thematic block, there are interactive assignments for self-assessment and reinforcing the material. At the end of the season, participants will be able to create their own business project and will receive a certificate from the Children’s Business School.
All materials will be available to participants for six months.
