The cultural program in the capital is so diverse that there is something for everyone: puzzle lovers will go to unravel the mysteries of the imperial residence, theater enthusiasts will immerse themselves in genre experiments, and history fans will discover the necropolis. Here’s how to spend the weekend together with “Mosbilet”.

Quests, tours, and lectures

The Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve invites you to a quest-tour “A Romantic Detective Walk Through the Imperial Residence”. The format is suitable for a family outing: adults and children will solve riddles together along a route that runs along the shore, past palaces, pavilions, ponds, and grottos. The final point will be the Grand Palace.

At the Lefortovo History Museum, you can listen to lecture about the architectural features of the Vvedensky (German) Cemetery — a place that today is called an open-air sculpture museum. Visitors can learn how the necropolis was established following Catherine II’s decree of 1771, see unique gravestones — from marble angels and majestic crypts to unusual structures with shackles and an aircraft propeller, as well as get acquainted with the stories of famous people buried here.

Concerts and performances

At the A.S. Pushkin Moscow Drama Theatre, one can see a play “Macbeth. Cabaret”. In director Nikita Pirozhkov’s theatrical work, movement, music, and dramatic art come together. The story of the noble Macbeth, who succumbed to the witches’ prophecy and was consumed by a thirst for power, is revealed through various genres and types of stage language. The production features Anna Begunova, Elmira Mirel, Anastasia Lebedeva, Natalia Reva-Ryadinskaya, Anna Karmakova, Evgenia Leonova, and other performers.

A performance by Oleg Menshikov’s brass band will take place at the M.N. Yermolova Theater “Dream Orchestra. Brass”. The program includes theatrical miniatures, where the sound of wind instruments is combined with dance, acting, and costumes. Each performance tells a separate story, and the orchestra’s sound fills the entire space. The artistic director and general producer of the project is Oleg Menshikov.

In the concert hall “Zaryadye,” they will present a program from the cycle about the musical interests of writers — this time it will be about Nikolai Gogol. The narrator will be actress and cultural expert Irina Chizhik. She will reveal little-known details about the writer’s musical preferences — from the performances he attended to his interactions with composers, as well as explain how Gogol’s work inspired musicians. The program will include improvisations on works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Modest Mussorgsky, as well as Ukrainian folk songs and other melodies close to the writer. All pieces will be performed in original interpretations by Alexey Chizhik.

For the whole family

The Center for Bird Recovery and Adaptation is opening a language club Birdwatching for kids for children from eight to 13 years old. The program combines learning English with practical ornithology activities. Participants will learn to identify bird species, keep a field observation journal, and try their hand at bird photography. Special attention is given to specialized vocabulary.

The program is taking place at the MosKino film park “Movie Weekends”, participants of which can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of filmmaking. The program includes a cowboy show, street performances, themed master classes, and staged filming. The ticket price includes an express tour of one or two sets: tours take place every hour from 12:00 to 17:00 starting at the central square.

“Mosbilet” is an official service on the mos.ru portal, through which you can purchase tickets to theaters, museums, concert halls, and other institutions subordinate to the Moscow Department of Culture, without commission or markups. The service page features announcements of the most anticipated events, season premieres, activities within city festivals, exhibitions, plays, and concerts taking place in the upcoming weekend.

You can buy a ticket directly through the service. For events requiring personal data to purchase a ticket, you do not need to enter the visitor’s last name, first name, patronymic, and information: if the user has a standard or full account, it is enough to leave the default value — Mos ID — in the document selection field. Mandatory fields must be filled manually if the account is simplified. When booking tickets for young guests through the service, all data must be entered only by the accompanying adult. For children under 14 years old, only last name, first name, patronymic, and date of birth can be indicated; when attending cultural events, it is not necessary to show the child’s document.

In addition, authorized users will be able to open QR codes in the mobile applications “My Moscow”, “My id”, and “Moscow Public Services”.
