The multimedia attraction “Matryoshka of Moscow” has been prepared for the autumn-winter season. It can operate in various weather conditions thanks to modern engineering solutions and intelligent control systems.

According to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov, specialists checked the readiness of more than 300 thousand elements for operation in the cold season.

The “Matryoshka of Moscow” is equipped with equipment that ensures uninterrupted operation in severe weather conditions, including at 100% air humidity. Powerful ventilation units prevent condensation formation, and moisture-resistant materials, sealed housings, and connections protect the most critical equipment elements from moisture ingress. Additionally, all 25 kilometers of cables are reliably insulated, and a heating system automatically activates during cold weather to prevent frost buildup. The air blowing system removes snow from the structure’s surfaces.

The weather conditions in Zaryadye Park are monitored around the clock by the park’s own meteorological station, “Matryoshkas of Moscow,” installed on the roof. It records temperature and relative humidity, wind speed and direction, as well as precipitation. During the day, the weather station is at a height of 11 meters — at the level of the static cylinder. During evening programs, the structure’s configuration changes, and the weather station rises to a height of 22 meters.

All information is sent to the dispatcher console. The intelligent system analyzes meteorological data and, based on it, provides recommendations for activating protective equipment or warns of possible malfunctions. This allows specialists to quickly respond to changing weather conditions and ensure the continuous operation of the attraction throughout the fall and winter.

During the day, visitors to Zaryadye Park can see current weather information on the screens. Depending on the amount of precipitation, one of the animated clips featuring residents of the Moscow Zoo — the panda Katyusha and the Pallas’s cat Timofey — is broadcast. The landscape and behavior of the characters in the video correspond to the weather.

Guests can attend evening performances at the “Matryoshka of Moscow” at any time of the year. They take place from Tuesday to Sunday at 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, and 9:00 PM, and on Saturdays also at 10:00 PM. Additional information will be provided about the switch to the winter schedule.

A large-scale project is presented on the mos.ru portal special project, dedicated to the development of key areas of Moscow. Among them are transport, industry, healthcare, education, sports, and construction. The special project helps to learn how the capital has changed over the past years, which initiatives aimed at making the lives of residents even more comfortable are currently being implemented, and what awaits Moscow and its inhabitants in the near future.

On the project page “Culture, Heritage, and Leisure Industry” you can learn about how architectural monuments are preserved in the capital.

Moscow is the center of the country’s cultural life and ranks among the leading metropolises in terms of the number of museums and exhibition halls. The city has established a film cluster that unites the MosKino film factory on Ryazansky Avenue, the Gorky Film Studio, and the MosKino film park.
