A meeting with artist Yuri Parfenov will take place at the “Harmony” cultural center. He will talk about his creativity and life: how the idea for the works came about, why pastel technique was chosen, and the questions underlying each piece. Guests will hear firsthand about the concepts, artistic explorations, and how the paintings presented in the exhibition were born.
Yuri Parfenov’s works are done in pastel on black paper: this color symbolizes for the artist the divine darkness from which the universe was born, and allows him to create expressive contrasts and achieve brightness.
