From the transcript:
T. Golikova: Dear friends!
Welcome to the international charity festival “White Cane,” which for the seventeenth time brings together talented children vocalists with visual impairments in a celebration of soul, talent, and boundless possibilities.
The “White Cane” Festival is a symbol of faith in people, the triumph of creativity and determination, a sincere and compelling call for mercy, mutual assistance, and understanding in our society.
The festival’s geographic reach expands every year. Hundreds of young talents from many regions of Russia and 10 foreign countries participated in the qualifying rounds of the seventeenth festival. The children have the opportunity to showcase their musical creativity to both professionals and a wide audience, which undoubtedly contributes to their successful social integration, belief in themselves and their dreams, and the acquisition of unique experience for further creative development.
I express my sincere gratitude to the music and vocal teachers, accompanists, choreographers, all mentors, and of course, the parents who every day push the boundaries of possibilities for children with visual impairments, proving that music knows no barriers. You invest immense effort, knowledge, experience, and soul into the children from their earliest years. The bright and impressive performances today are your achievement!
I express my deep gratitude to the festival organizers – the charity foundation “By the Call of the Heart,” the Diana Gurtskaya Center for Social Integration, and personally to the author and inspirer of the festival, People’s Artist of Russia Diana Gudaevna Gurtskaya.
I am sure that the atmosphere of the festival, filled with the warmth of hearts and the applause of the audience, will be a big step towards a more open, tolerant, and inclusive society.
Let participation in the “White Cane” festival and the gala concert alongside stage masters become a bright, memorable event in the lives of young artists and an incentive to move forward.
I wish you brilliant performances, inexhaustible inspiration, and creative victories!
